If God gave us the Bible so that we could understand Him better, then why are some parts of it VERY confusing? Why didn't He make everything clear?

We must admit that there are parts of the Bible that are confusing. If you think the Bible is confusing its because God wrote it, but He used human authors. They used a different language and had different historical and cultural contexts. It was written by over 40 authors on three different continents but still has no contradictions.
There are parts of the Bible that are difficult to understand, but an objective interpretation is possible. It is important to realize that the essential messages of the Bible are clear, and without dispute.
